On Thursday, March 3rd, the Fish Tale Marina will host a candidate forum for the Fort Myers Beach Town Council election in March. The forum will begin at 7:00 pm in the “Propeller Lounge” (Barn #2). Come on out and meet the candidates for Town Council and get informed!

On Wednesday, March 23rd, the Fish Tale Marina’s Ship Store will host a “Ladies Night Out” for our VIP customers. The fun begins at 6:30 pm with hors d’oeuvres, music, raffle prizes and more! As an added bonus, spend $200 and receive a $50 gift card (merchandise only) to be used on your next visit! If you are a Fish-Tale boat storage customer…. look for your invitation soon!

On Thursday, March 24th, the Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts continue their winter concert series with a performance by the Jazz-Matics featuring Lynn Richardson. Tickets are available on their website at www.friendsoftheartsfmb.com or by stopping in at the Business Office.

Greater Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts Concert Series Continues!

FORT MYERS BEACH, FL (February 5, 2016) In keeping with their goal to promote all forms of art in Fort Myers Beach, the Friends of the Arts concert series continues this winter season. The concerts are sponsored by the not-for-profit arts organization and held at the waterfront staging area on the bay, hosted by Fish-Tale Marina, 7225 Estero Boulevard.
The concerts continue on February 11th with a performance by the Florida Southwestern State College Jazz Ensemble (former…ly the Edison Brass Band). The Jazz Ensemble performs works from all eras and audience members are regularly treated to compositions that range from Dixieland to the Jazz Age; Swing-era favorites to Be-bop; Cool Jazz to Hard Bop and Free Jazz to Fusion.
Concerts will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 per concert. Future concert performances include the Jazz-Matics featuring Lynn Richardson on March 24th and Jo List and Friends on April 7th. Fallen Eagle Redfish Classic

By keeping Jesse’s legacy alive through the Jesse M. Woodyard Redfish Classic, his family hopes to remind every FGCU student to drink responsibly. We pray this annual event will provide an opportunity for FGCU students and alumni to come together at “The Fort” to celebrate each other in fellowship and fishing. This is a light tackle inshore tournament for ladies and gentlemen. Winners will be determined by total weight of two slot-sized redfish, specifically, 2 Redfish no less than 18″ or more than 27″ with a pinched Tail.

FREE Christmas Concert

This week Santini Marina plaza is hosting a Christmas Concert. It is sponsored by FMB Friends of the Arts and is FREE to the public. The “Cool Yule Band” is coming to Fort Myers Beach on Sunday December 13th from 4pm until 6pm.

“Cool Yule Band” is a group unlike any you’ve ever seen or heard. This band puts its own distinct spin on the music of “the most wonderful time of the year”. You will be as amazed as a child waking up to presents under the tree on Christmas morning when you hear these guys. They proudly present an interactive stage production titled, “Tidings of Great Joy – A Cool Yule Celebration”. Performing arrangements like “Funky King Wenceslaus” and “Salsa Claus is Comin’ to Town”, this is a Holiday spectacular you won’t soon forget.

Santini Sunrise Farmers Market Returns

(FORT MYERS BEACH, FL), (October 12, 2015) The Santini Sunrise Farmers Market is set to open its 2015 season on Tuesday, November 4, 2015. Located in Santini Marina Plaza, this family friendly market showcases farm fresh produce, delicious prepared foods, live entertainment, and local information about Fort Myers Beach. It operates every Tuesday from 9am until 1pm. The market is a rain or shine event that continues until Easter.

There has been a lot of positive buzz about the new and improved market. Event Coordinator, Bonnie Roberts, says, “An exciting change for the Santini Sunrise Farmer’s Market this year is we’ve gone “all fresh”, homegrown, and handmade. Our jewelry makers will be making and customizing their pieces on site, Honey from the Hood will be doing hourly demos on harvesting honey, Donna Elias, watercolor artist and Mara Balodis canvas artist will be painting on site, Connie Eugenio will be engraving rings and bracelets ‘to go’. You will see taffy being made by Bradley Taffy, Gemini Jelly brings her own homemade jellies, and Peaches Provisions sells homemade Pickles and Olives. Other items for sale will include Moringa Tree Oils, fresh seasonings, herbal balms, local handmade baskets, pottery, beach photography, carved wood art, hemp bamboo clothing, homemade candles, air plants, natural pet treats, handmade soaps, and so much more.”

“We are excited to begin our season at the Santini Sunrise Farmers Market,” says Al Durrett, Manager of Santini Marina Plaza. “We usually have a nice selection of vendors at the market and customers can expect to find farm fresh produce, baked goods, artwork, honey, homemade jewelry and other original creations.”
